This is one of our most exciting motorcycle rentals. Yamaha has entirely redesigned the FZ1 for 2006. From the current R1 engine to the aluminum spar frame, this sportbike has been remade from top to bottom. This is basically a R1 in disguise; however, it can still go two, three, or four hundred miles in a day if one so desires. The adjustable suspension allows the motorcycle to be dialed in for urban assault or a long distance tour.
Not only the performance, but also the styling of this motorcycle has been updated. The look of this bike is very aggressive, from the R1 inspired front fairing to the split sport seat. - All-new compact aluminum frame, current-generation fuel-injected one-liter R1 engine, standout styling and more aggressive naked-bike stance guarantee excitement.
- 43mm fully adjustable inverted fork contains compression damping circuitry in the left leg and rebound in the right— proven effective on the YZR-M1 MotoGP bike—as well as stiffer springs for excellent handling.
- More aggressive ergos: new 4.75-gallon tank is 2.5 inches shorter and shaped to move the rider forward into a position of total control—supersport-like 51 percent front wheel weight bias means confident, quick handling.
- All-new 52-percent-lighter aluminum frame uses a special mold casting technique that allowed engineers to minutely vary metal thicknesses for optimal rigidity throughout.
